| Philipp Johann Rupp founded a workshop for the manufacturing
of leather accessories.

1960
| "Esquire", which stands normally for a well-born country gentleman,
was created as a brand and the "E" with the crown was becoming
a synonym for high class leather products in a modern design.
Growth and expansion was the motto of the coming years.
Several times the facility in Jügesheim was expanded and belts
and briefcases were added to the program of accessories. |
